Brand Video

Brand video production company

Click Play Films produces brand films for companies with something specific to say. Broadcast-standard craft, and a refusal to make the version that could belong to anyone.

The studio

The test is whether a competitor could run it

Specific beliefs. Real craft. One accountable team.

Here is the diagnostic we use on every brand film, and you can apply it to your current one right now. Swap your logo at the end for a competitor’s. Does anything break? If the film still makes sense, it was never about you. It was about the category.

Most brand video fails that test, because most brand video is built out of things nobody disagrees with. We care about quality. We put people first. We are passionate about innovation. Every one of those is true of your competitors too, which makes them worth nothing as a claim. A brand film only works when it commits to something specific enough that someone else could not honestly say it.

What we produce

Brand video production services

01

Brand Films

The central piece. Two to three minutes that establish who the company is, used on the site, in pitches, at events, and in recruiting for years.

02

Company Story

Where it came from and why it exists. Particularly effective for founder-led businesses and companies whose origin explains their difference.

03

Manifesto Films

Short, declarative pieces built around a belief rather than a product. High risk, high return: they either land hard or say nothing.

04

Culture and Values

What it is actually like inside, shot with real people rather than staged enthusiasm. Doubles as recruitment content.

05

Sizzle and Anthem

High-energy cutdowns for conferences, investor rooms, and the opening of a pitch, built from the same production as the main film.

06

Rebrand and Repositioning

The film that explains a change to customers and staff at the same time, which is a harder brief than it sounds.

Which one you need

Brand story video production and brand marketing video

Brand video splits into two jobs that get confused constantly, and buying the wrong one is why so many companies end up with an expensive film nobody uses. The difference is what the piece is for, not how it looks.

01

Brand Story Video Production

Who you are and why you exist. Watched by people already interested: a prospect doing diligence, a candidate deciding whether to apply, an investor before a meeting. Longer, slower, and it earns its cost by staying true for years.

02

Brand Marketing Video

The same identity, cut to work in a feed. Shorter, punchier, built for distribution rather than contemplation. This is what most brands actually need first, and what most agencies skip past on the way to a film.

03

Retail Brand Video

Brand work for companies that sell through stores and shelves. It has to carry the identity while a product is visible, which is a genuinely harder constraint than either pure brand or pure product work.

04

The Common Mistake

Commissioning a three-minute story film and then discovering there is nowhere to run it. Story films are pull, not push. Someone has to already want to watch. If you need reach, you need the marketing cut too.

05

The Efficient Answer

Produce both from one shoot. The interviews, the b-roll, and the locations serve the story film and the marketing cuts equally well, and capturing for both costs a fraction of returning for the second one later.

06

How We Scope It

We ask where each piece will run before we write anything. A brand video production agency that scopes creative without asking that is designing something you will struggle to use.

The case for video

Brand video is bought on trust, not reach

Most video metrics measure attention. A brand film is doing something harder to count and more valuable: deciding whether a stranger believes you are worth taking seriously.

89%
of consumers say video quality impacts their trust in a brand
Wyzowl, State of Video Marketing 2026
93%
of marketers say video has increased brand awareness

84%
of consumers want to see more video from brands, a figure stable within eight points for eight years
Wyzowl, State of Video Marketing 2026
45%
average engagement on video running three to five minutes
Wistia, State of Video 2025

That first number is the one that should decide your budget. Nearly nine in ten people say production quality affects whether they trust a brand, which means a cheap brand film is not a saving. It is an active statement about the company, and not the one you intended.

The last figure is the honest counterweight. Average engagement on a three to five minute film is 45%, so roughly half your audience will not reach the end of a brand story. That is fine, and it is why we build the sizzle, the sixty, and the thirty from the same production. The film convinces the people who chose to watch; the cuts reach everyone else.

How it works

Getting to something worth filming

The production is the easy half. Finding the thing your company can say that nobody else can is where a brand film is won or lost, and it happens entirely in conversation before anyone books a crew.

01

Interview the Founders

Not a briefing meeting, a real conversation. The usable material is almost never in the brand deck. It is in why someone started this, what they refuse to do, and what they got wrong early.

02

Find the Uncomfortable Truth

The strongest brand films contain something the company would rather not say out loud. A trade-off they make deliberately, a customer they turn away, a harder path they chose. That is what makes it credible.

03

Apply the Swap Test

Before a word is filmed we test the script by putting a competitor’s name on it. Anything that survives the swap gets cut, because it was not about you.

04

Cast for Real

Actual employees and actual customers wherever possible. Audiences detect hired actors in a brand film faster than in any other format, and the detection undoes the whole piece.

05

Production

Broadcast-standard crews, multiple locations where the story needs them. With 89% of people saying quality affects brand trust, this is the one category where cutting corners on craft actively works against the objective.

06

Build the Set, Not the Film

The main film plus the sizzle, the sixty, the thirty, the vertical, and the recruitment cut. All from one production, because you will be asked for every one of them within a year.

Pricing

What brand video production costs

Most production companies will not put numbers on a page. Here are ours.

Cost is driven by locations, shoot days, whether talent is cast, and how much post the film needs. A brand film usually justifies more than a single shoot day because of how long it stays in use.

$0$5k$10k$15k$20k$25k+
Single-location brand film$3,000 – $10,000
Multi-location brand film$5,000 – $20,000
Campaign or brand system$10,000 and up

Divide any of these by three to five years of use. Measured that way, a brand film is usually the cheapest video a company owns.

01

$3,000 to $10,000

Single-location brand film. One shoot day, a compact crew, real employees rather than cast talent. Includes discovery, scripting, production, edit, color, sound, and cutdowns.

02

$5,000 to $20,000

Multi-location brand film. Several locations or shoot days, customers and staff, original music, motion graphics, and the full set of cutdowns for site, social, and events.

03

$10,000 and up

Campaign or brand system. A main film plus a set of supporting pieces produced together, cast talent, and multiple markets. The right approach for a rebrand or a funding announcement.

Worth weighing against the alternative: a brand film typically stays in use for three to five years, across the website, sales decks, recruitment, and events. Measured per year of use it is usually the cheapest video a company owns, which is the opposite of how it feels when the invoice arrives.

Why Click Play

A production partner, not just a camera crew

Our producers came up making national advertising campaigns, where the entire job was finding the one true thing about a brand and building sixty seconds around it. That discipline is what separates a brand film that gets watched from one that gets skipped, and it is not something a crew alone can supply.

FAQ

Brand video production questions

How much does brand video production cost?

A single-location brand film typically runs $3,000 to $10,000. A multi-location film runs $5,000 to $20,000. A campaign or brand system starts around $10,000. Because a brand film stays in use for years, the cost per year of use is usually lower than any other video a company commissions.

Does production quality actually matter for a brand film?

More here than in any other category. In Wyzowl’s 2026 survey, 89% of consumers said video quality affects their trust in a brand. A brand film exists specifically to make people take you seriously, so a cheap one is not a neutral saving. It communicates something about the company, and not the thing you were trying to say.

What is brand story video production?

A film about who the company is and why it exists, rather than what it sells. It is watched by people who already have a reason to care: a prospect doing diligence, a candidate deciding whether to apply, an investor before a meeting. That makes it longer and slower than marketing video, and it earns its cost by staying true for three to five years rather than by generating reach.

What is the difference between a brand video and a promotional video?

A promo sells one thing by one date and then its job is finished. A brand film says who you are and stays useful for years. Different structure, different schedule, different measure of success. Most companies eventually need both, but commissioning one when you needed the other is a common and expensive mistake.

How long should a brand film be?

Two to three minutes for the main film, where the viewer has chosen to watch. Sixty and thirty second cutdowns for the website and paid. Fifteen seconds and vertical for social. Expect roughly half your audience not to finish the long version, which is exactly why the cutdowns matter and why we build them from the same production.

We do not know what our story is. Can you help find it?

That is most of the work, and the part that actually matters. It usually starts with a real conversation with whoever founded or runs the company, because the useful material is rarely in the brand deck. What you refuse to do, what you got wrong early, and why you chose a harder path are all more useful than a values list.

How long does a brand film take?

Three to six weeks from kickoff to delivery for a single-location film. Six to ten weeks for multi-location work or a brand system. The discovery stage takes longer here than in other categories and it should, because everything downstream depends on getting it right.

Should we use employees or actors?

Employees, in almost every case. Audiences detect cast talent in a brand film faster than in any other format, and once they do, everything the film says is discounted. Actors make sense for stylised or conceptual work; they rarely make sense when the film is about who you are.

How long will the film stay usable?

Three to five years is typical if it is built around beliefs rather than specifics. Films that reference current products, headcount, offices, or numbers date much faster. We deliberately keep those details out of the main film and into cutdowns that can be replaced.

What is included in the price?

Discovery and interviews, scripting, crew and equipment, direction, all quoted shoot days, editing, color grading, sound mix, licensed music, captions, and delivery in every format you need including cutdowns. Cast talent, travel, original composition, and specialist gear are quoted separately and itemized up front.

Where can you shoot?

We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, and Houston, and have covered productions in 48 markets. Brand films often want several locations because the story spans them, and shooting where we already have crew is what keeps a multi-city film affordable.

Who owns the footage?

You do. You receive the finished deliverables and, on request, the camera originals. We archive brand projects carefully, because a recut two years in is common and far cheaper than a reshoot.
