Social media video production company
Click Play Films is a social media video production company making scroll-stopping content for brands. Platform-native craft, full-service crews, and a producer on every project.
Social media video production built to stop the scroll
Native craft. Real reach. One accountable team.
Click Play Films produces social video that performs. We make platform-native content for brands including Invesco QQQ, and we bring broadcast-standard craft to work sized for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and paid social. From concept and creative direction through production and fast-turnaround post, your content is handled by producers who understand what makes people stop, watch, and act.
Whether you need a single hero video or a monthly content engine, we shoot in formats and aspect ratios cut for every platform and built to travel.
Content made to move
A sample of the social and short-form content our team has produced and delivered.
Social video for brands you know
Social does not mean lower standards. The brands we produce for expect the same craft in a nine-by-sixteen frame that they expect on broadcast.
Invesco QQQ
Social content for one of the most recognized names in asset management, produced to a financial brand’s standards and cut for the feed.
Brand Campaign Content
Social cutdowns produced alongside broadcast campaigns, so the same shoot feeds television, connected TV, and every platform at once.
Content Series
Repeatable formats built to be shot in batches and released over months, which is how brands keep a channel fed without a shoot every week.
Our producers have also delivered work for GEICO, Walmart, Netflix, Toyota, USA Network, BlackRock, Sony Music, and LinkedIn. That advertising background is why our social work is directed rather than just captured.

Social media video production agency or production company?
These get conflated constantly and they solve different problems. Most brands with a social problem do not know which of the two they actually have, and buying the wrong one is how you end up with a strategy deck and no content, or a beautiful video nobody publishes.
A Social Media Agency
Runs your channels. Strategy, calendar, community management, posting, paid buying, reporting. Genuinely valuable, and completely separate from whether anyone can make the content well.
A Social Media Video Production Agency
Sells creative and content, then usually subcontracts the shooting. Works when the idea is the hard part. The risk is the same as anywhere else in advertising: nobody on the shoot day owns the outcome.
A Production Company
Makes the content. Crews, direction, edit, delivery. That is us. We will plan around your channel strategy, but we are not going to pretend we run your community management.
A Creator or Freelancer
Right answer for genuinely native, low-polish content at volume, and often cheaper than either. Wrong when the brand has standards to meet, talent to direct, or a product that has to look correct.
What Most Brands Need
Both, in the right order. An agency or in-house team running the channels, and a production partner making content good enough to be worth running. The failure mode is one party pretending to do the other’s job.
How We Fit
We are the production arm your agency or in-house team briefs. One producer accountable from concept through delivery, everything cut to platform spec and handed over ready to publish.
Short-form is where the attention went
Social video is no longer a channel your brand chooses to be on. It is where a substantial share of your audience’s day already goes, and the only real question is whether what they find there is worth watching.
Seventeen hours a week is more time than most people spend on any single leisure activity. Short-form now outranks every other content format on marketer-reported ROI, ahead of blogs, email, and paid search.
The catch sits in that third number. Fifty percent average engagement on a sub-minute video means half your audience leaves before the halfway mark of something already under sixty seconds. Whatever you need them to know belongs in the first few seconds, not the last, and that is a direction and edit problem rather than a budget one.
One shoot, a month of content
The expensive part of video is the shoot day, not the edit. Brands that treat social as a series of one-off videos pay for that day over and over. We plan the opposite way: shoot once, capture deliberately for multiple pieces, and cut a library out of it.
Content Plan
Before we shoot anything, we map what the month or the quarter actually needs: how many pieces, which platforms, what each one has to do. That plan determines the shoot, not the other way round.
Built for the First Three Seconds
Feed video lives or dies on the opening, and the data backs it: even under a minute, average engagement is only around half. We write and direct for the hook specifically, and shoot alternates so more than one opening can be tested against the same content.
Shoot for Every Frame
Vertical, square, and horizontal are framed on the day rather than cropped later. Cropping a horizontal master into nine-by-sixteen is how brands end up with content that looks like an afterthought.
Fast Post
Social moves faster than broadcast and the edit has to match. Quick turnarounds, captions burned in, and formats delivered together rather than trickled out one platform at a time.
Versioning
Every piece delivered in the aspect ratios and lengths your channels need, with sound-off versions, because most of your audience will never turn the volume on.
Refresh
Creative fatigues on paid social faster than anywhere else. We keep the raw material archived so new cuts can come out of the same shoot when performance starts to drop.
What social media video production costs
Most production companies will not put numbers on a page. Here are ours.
Social budgets are driven by shoot days and how many finished pieces come out of them, not by the length of any single video. These are the ranges most of our social projects fall into, quoted before anything is booked.
$3,000 to $10,000
Single video or small batch. One location, one shoot day, a compact crew. A hero piece for a launch, a handful of shorts, or a paid social ad with its variants. Includes concept, production, edit, captions, and platform versioning.
$5,000 to $20,000
Content batch or campaign. Multiple locations or shoot days producing a set of pieces at once. Launch campaigns, multi-format paid social, and content shot alongside a larger brand or commercial production.
$10,000 and up
Ongoing content engine. A recurring program producing a month or a quarter of content per shoot. This is the cheapest way to run social at volume, because the per-piece cost drops sharply the more you shoot at once.
If you are producing anything else with us, say a commercial or a brand film, the social content should be shot at the same time. Adding a social capture day to an existing production costs a fraction of commissioning it separately, and the content is consistent with the campaign rather than orbiting it.
A production partner, not just a camera crew
Most shops shoot one video. We build content systems. That means understanding each platform, directing for the first three seconds, and delivering video engineered to perform in the feed. You get a dedicated producer, transparent budgets, and a team that treats reach like it matters, because it does.
Social media video production questions
How much does social media video production cost?
A single video or small batch typically runs $3,000 to $10,000. A content batch or campaign runs $5,000 to $20,000. An ongoing content program starts around $10,000 and scales with volume. The driver is shoot days, not video length, which is why producing several pieces at once is dramatically cheaper per piece.
Is social video actually worth producing properly?
The attention is unambiguously there. The average person now spends around seventeen hours a week watching online video, and marketers rank short-form as the highest-ROI content format of any kind. What is not guaranteed is that yours gets watched: Wistia’s data puts average engagement on sub-minute video at about 50%, meaning half the audience leaves before the midpoint of something already very short. Presence is cheap. Being worth watching is the part you are actually paying for.
Do we need a social media video production agency or a production company?
Depends which problem you have. If nobody is running your channels, planning the calendar, or buying paid, that is an agency job. If the channels are running but the content is not good enough, that is a production job. Plenty of brands buy the first when they needed the second, then wonder why a strong strategy is not performing. We are the production side, and we work alongside whoever handles the rest.
How many videos can you get from one shoot day?
With a plan going in, a single day can produce anywhere from six to twenty finished pieces depending on how much setup each one needs. Without a plan, the same day produces one video and a lot of unusable coverage. This is the single biggest cost lever in social video and it is decided before anyone picks up a camera.
Do you produce animated social media video?
Yes. Motion graphics and animation are often the right call for social when there is nothing camera-ready to point at: data, abstract services, product mechanics, or explainers. Animated pieces also age better than filmed ones, since they can be updated without a reshoot. We produce both in-house, so a content batch can mix filmed and animated without a second vendor.
How long does it take?
A standard social project runs two to four weeks from kickoff to delivery. Larger campaigns and content programs run two to eight weeks. Social post is faster than broadcast by design, and if you have a launch date we build the schedule backwards from it.
Do you shoot vertical, or crop it afterwards?
We frame for it on the day. Cropping a horizontal master into nine-by-sixteen means losing composition, cutting heads off, and delivering something that looks like a repurposed TV spot, because it is one. If a piece is going to run vertically we shoot it that way, and we can capture multiple ratios in the same setup.
Which platforms do you deliver for?
TikTok, Instagram Reels and feed, YouTube Shorts and standard, LinkedIn, Facebook, and paid placements across all of them. Every deliverable comes in the aspect ratios and lengths each platform actually wants, with captions burned in and sound-off versions included.
Where can you shoot?
We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, and Houston, and we have covered productions in 48 markets across the country. Shooting where we already have crew keeps travel off the budget, which matters more on social than anywhere else because the budgets are tighter.
Can you produce UGC-style content that does not look produced?
Yes, and it is harder than it looks. Creator-style content that performs is deliberately imperfect rather than accidentally rough, and getting that right takes direction. We produce it at broadcast reliability without the polish that makes an ad look like an ad in a feed of real people.
Do you handle strategy and posting, or just production?
We produce. We will plan the content around your channel strategy and deliver everything ready to publish, but we are not a social media management agency and will not pretend to be one. If you have an agency or an in-house team running the channels, we are the production partner they brief.
What is included in the price?
Concept and content planning, scripting, crew and equipment, direction, all quoted shoot days, editing, color, sound, captions, and delivery in every format your channels need. Paid talent, licensed music beyond our standard library, travel, and specialist gear are quoted separately and itemized up front.
Can social be shot alongside a commercial or brand film?
Yes, and it should be. Adding a social capture block to a production you are already running costs a fraction of a separate shoot, and the content ends up consistent with the campaign instead of looking like it came from somewhere else. Tell us at the first call if social is part of the plan.
Who owns the content?
You do. You receive the finished deliverables and, on request, the camera originals. We archive the raw material so new cuts can come out of the same shoot later, which matters on paid social where creative fatigues fast and a refresh should not require a reshoot.
